 Introduction

Every Civil Construction Structure gets old and damaged. Even buildings and structures have a product or life cycle. Civil structures are made up of a combination of R.C.C Beams, Iron or Steel rods, Cement, Waterproofing chemicals, Sand, Rubble, Water etc. All of these raw materials have their individual product life cycle. This is part of the normal and natural process called life.

Civil Construction Structures have to face the effects of time, the defects of material, climatic conditions and damage due to just wear and tear due to normal usage.

All Civil Construction Structures that are 20 plus years old will be projecting visibly cracks, crevices, water leakage and seepage in multiple locations all over the property.

Due to extreme water intrusion, many properties plastering will either peel off or just fall down in chunks of pieces making the R.C.C steel rods visible to the naked eye.

What is Restoration?

Restoration is defined as the process of reestablishing a self-sustaining habitat that closely resembles a natural condition in terms of structure and function.  In simpler words, Building restoration describes the process of the renewal and refurbishment of the fabric of a building. The phrase covers a wide span of activities, from the cleaning of the interior or exterior of a building removal of layers of paint and the cleaning and repair of the exterior walls.

What is Renovation?

Renovation is described as the ability to restore the existing old structure to an earlier condition, but in better structural and aesthetic beauty as by repairing or remodeling the existing structure to perfection. In simpler words to renovate means to impart new vigor or to revive its hidden beauty.

 What is Re Waterproofing?

Re - Waterproofing is the repeat and second water proofing process of making an old and water damaged property or structure waterproof or water-resistant again. Re Waterproofing is like putting life back again into water damaged property. So that it remains moderately unaffected by water or the project has to restrict and resist the forceful entry of water under all climatic conditions. Re Waterproofing is effective, useful and practical only if the structure is repaired internally first. That is either Restoration or Renovation Repairs have to be undertaken first. Only then Re Waterproofing will be fruitful and result oriented.
